We Provide Pain Relieving Spinal Decompression in Beverly Hills

Our team at Tannenbaum Chiropractic understands how frustrating chronic back and neck pain can be and the numerous ways it can impact your life. That’s why our Beverly Hills chiropractor office provides our patients with spinal decompression therapy. We believe this type of therapy is a quintessential part of treatment for most clients who suffer from chronic back or neck pain.

Schedule your consultation or next spinal decompression therapy appointment today. Our team can’t wait to help you on the path to a pain-free life.

What is Spinal Decompression Therapy?

At Tannenbaum Chiropractic, our spinal decompression therapy is made up of a motorized traction table that gently stretches the patient’s spine in order to relieve back or neck pain. This mild stretch changes the position of and force on the spine. When this occurs, pressure is removed from the spinal discs and negative pressure is created, promoting the flow of oxygen, water, and other nutrient-rich fluids into the discs, which in turn promotes healing.

How Can Spinal Decompression Help?

Many doctors, including our Beverly Hill chiropractors, utilize nonsurgical spinal decompression to help clients who suffer from the following:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Sciatica (pain, weakness, or tingling which occurs down the leg)
  • Bulging discs
  • Herniated discs
  • Degenerative discs
  • Worn joints in the spine (commonly referred to as posterior facet syndrome)
  • Injured spinal nerve roots

In many cases, spinal decompression therapy is combined with other forms of therapy, such as chiropractic, acupuncture, and physical therapy.

What Happens During Spinal Decompression Therapy?

During spinal decompression, the patient remains clothed. The patient lies on a computer-controlled traction table, and the doctor helps harness the patient around the pelvis and again around the trunk of the body. The doctor controls the computer which controls the table.

The doctor will determine the duration of time the patient should spend on the table based on the patient’s ailments and needs.
